In the beginning…..
Background: I’m not a crypto or investment expert and this blog is not intended as investment advice. I bought some Bitcoin and Ethereum at the beginning of 2017 and after all the hype of that year sold some out at a nice profit at the end of 2017. It wasn’t a life changing amount and I still have a few Crypto interests today. Whilst the prices dropped significantly at the end of 2017, I liked the idea of the Blockchain technology and think there is some amazing potential for the technology. Whether that means any of the current Crytpocurrencies actually perform well in the long term is another matter.
After cashing in some Ethereum and Bitcoin I thought I’d speculate a bit of the profit in even more high risk ventures. One of those ventures was buying land plots in the MegaCryptoPolis game. I can’t remember exactly how much I put into buying plots but it wasn’t much, around 3 ETH at the time and another 1 ETH just recently to buy one of their Citizen packs.
The Game: MegaCryptoPolis is a game whereby you buy land and other assets, with the aim of increasing your influence and revenue. I’ve found lots of really easy ways to spend money on MegaCryptoPolis (MCP) but I thought I would see if I can actually make some worthwhile money in the game. I then decided to write about this publicly, as I couldn’t find any decent resources online regarding this.
