The Sound of the Police

I’ve been continuing to explore ways in which Citizens in MegaCryptoPolis can potentially earn revenue. The last post looked at their potential value if you were to sell them but my strategy over the short term is to put them to work. Citizens need to be paired with property assets to potentially generate revenue or other resources. Mostly my current Citizens are busy reproducing but I’m now looking at my commercial properties to see where they might go to work.

I have a Police building as one of my assets and the way these buildings potentially generate revenue is by receiving an insurance payout in the event of a storm. A slightly unusual idea but worth exploring as the payout is actually quite a lot. As shown in the screenshot below the payout is just over 2.6 ETH. Whilst this is shared across all manned Police buildings in the local district, there aren’t currently any others. To qualify I need to appoint 3 Citizens – I don’t currently have that many spare but will do in a few days time.

I can’t imagine they payout this fund very often but let’s give it ago as it is a decent amount if it did come in.
